Developers of the famous battle royale shooter "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" ("PUBG") has finally revealed details about the new desert map. Named "Miramar," the highly-anticipated map is very different from "PUBG's" current map, Erangel.

The map features a portion of beach towns overlooking the sea, but most of the action will take place inland. Most of the areas will feature desert terrain, and there will be industrial areas dotting the landscape as well.

In a message posted on the game's official website,"PUBG" developers expressed their excitement in revealing details about the map. They said that when they developed Miramar, the focus was to create an environment that is very different from Erangel.

In contrast to the lush fields and forests offered by the island of Erangel, Miramar will render barren desert terrain and dense urban areas.

The desert map is expected to breathe new life into the game. With new locales, unfamiliar terrain, and new mechanics, veterans and new players alike will have to learn the intricacies of the map from scratch. As the developers put it, "Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work, and new tactics are required."

Also, the developers provided descriptions for some of the towns in Miramar.

There is Los Leones, which serves as the central commercial hub of the map. This is where all the shopping happens. Numerous construction sites can also provide players with high vantage points.

El Pozo is interesting for its Luchador Arena, where players can "test themselves against all comers." The city also has a "death bowl" where players can put their motorcycle skills to the test.

"PUBG" developers will give players a chance to test the map before the game's official 1.0 release. This is expected to happen sometime later this month, but the developers did not provide any confirmations regarding its specific date.
