NVIDIA Corporation released new images of an upcoming desert map to serve as a battleground for the online multiplayer video game "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds." The early access phase of the game was launched in March and with only one map available.

According to NVIDIA, the desert map is still being worked on and is yet to be finalized. The images present a wasteland environment with rusty cars, long roads, and a vista of a vast desert. NVIDIA is encouraging players to use its product, the GeForce GTX 10-series graphics card. It was detailed that the graphics card provides ultra-graphic settings for better gaming experience.

With the 1.0 patch update, the climbing and vaulting game mechanics are available. Based on the five new images, climbing and vaulting will come in handy with the new map. Players are now able to climb up walls, jump over walls, and vault from one car to another. The game mechanics were introduced to provide more challenge in the game with players able to move more swiftly.

During its initial release, an estimated 20 million copies of the game were sold. The early access stage will soon come to an end, and the initial release will take place. PUBG is scheduled to be released on Dec. 12 for the Xbox One. The CEO of the PUBG Corporation, Chang Han Kim announced the release date through Xbox One's official website.

Kim wrote, "We're approaching development on Xbox One with the same community-driven focus that we've taken with the game on PC." He then explained that there will be a slight difference with the Xbox One gameplay compared with the PC. "The ultimate battle royale experience fans play on Xbox One will be slightly different than what players know today on PC," he added.

The game received a 6 out of 10 score from Steam.
