Microsoft already announced the games it will give out in this month's Xbox Games with Gold. Sony has followed suit and finally unveiled the new set of games PS Plus members can get for free this February.

PlayStation 4 players can assume the role of Cloudbank-native Red in the science fiction action role-playing video game "Transistor," battling enemies and traversing through different bloodcurdling locales. The title, which was developed by Supergiant Games, is dubbed as one of the coolest games of 2014. As of last month, 600,000 copies of the game have already been sold.

Owners of the current-gen console can also get the new open-world action stealth 2D side-scroller game "Apotheon" the very second it becomes available at the PlayStore. The game was developed and published by Alientrap. 

PlayStation 3 faithfuls are treated to a PS3-exclusive titled "Yakuza 4." The missions in the open world action-adventure game, which was released back in 2009 by Sega, all happen in the Tokyo Underground. The second free goody for last-gen console owners is the stealth video game "Thief," which will take PS Plus subscribers to exigent heist missions and out-of-the-way ransacks.

Free games for the PS Vita include Cellar Door Games' indie platform game "Rogue Legacy" and the easygoing platform adventure title "Kick & Fennick." 

This cool bunch of games will all be available for free download starting Feb. 3. New PS Plus members can avail of a 14-day trial of the program at no cost. After two weeks of trying it out, the regular subscription will then be priced at $10 per month. To save loads, interested PS console owners can go for a three-month subscription, which only costs $18 (that's about $12 to share around). Pledging membership for a year is only $50.
