PlayStation Plus free games July 2016: Game libraries getting bigger as PS Store PLAY commences

Although Sony has already unveiled the July lineup for its PlayStation Plus free games program, there are still more surprises waiting for PS Plus fans.

For the PlayStation Store, it is revealed that new lineups for the 2016 PLAY program are also live this month, with four new games up for pre-order discounts. These new games will roll out between this month and August, though PS4 fans can have their early sneak peek with as much as 20 percent discount for pre-orders. The new games include "Headlander," launching on July 26; "ABZU," to release on Aug. 2; "Brut@l" for Aug. 9; and "Bound," coming on Aug. 16.

This is in addition to the free games on the PS Plus library.

Meanwhile, avid buyers on the PlayStation Store also has another chance to net triple-A titles for discounted prices, as there is also an on-going "Superhero Sale" for North America fans. Heading to the PS Store, fans can get "Batman: Arkham Knight" Season Pass for just $9.99, or the game's Premium Edition for only $24.99.

Other major titles included in the discount event are the two titles for "Infamous," "Mortal Kombat X," "Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition," and "The LEGO Movie" game.

Another title to add to player libraries is an extra game under the PS Plus program for this month. PS Plus members can get early access to "Paragon," an upcoming MOBA title that will launch as beta on Aug. 16. The early access also nets bonus in-game deals, such as a Starter Pack with three Master Challenges.

The PS Plus program is a monthly feature for PS Plus members. Subcribers can get a mix of free downloads each month. However, the setup is different from its rival, Microsoft's Xbox Games with Gold. Instead of two games in a two-week period, Sony chooses to release an entire game list for the given month.
