PlayStation Plus subscribers can now vote on what game they want to have for free for the month of September.

The new voting system, known as Vote to Play, has now officially started, and the polling is scheduled to end on Aug. 24, according to Polygon.

In order to take part in the polling process, the user must be in possession of an active PlayStation Plus account.

The game that ends up with the most votes by the end of Aug. 24 will be the one that will be released for free to PlayStation Plus members in September, while the two games that don't end up winning will still be offered at a discount.

The three games PlayStation Plus subscribers can vote for include "Armello," "Grow Home," and "Zombie Vikings."

Unfortunately, the new Vote to Play system will not be a monthly feature for PlayStation Plus members, but according to the PlayStation Store's Content Manager Chris Howe, the new polling feature will still be available regularly throughout the year, so subscribers will just have to stay tuned for any further announcements.

In related news, it looks as though at least some PlayStation Plus subscribers may no longer be able to afford the service as a price increase is on the way, according to Wired UK.

The monthly and quarterly subscription rates for PlayStation Plus will go up starting Sept. 1, although it is worth noting that the increase applies only to people in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe.

As of now, a monthly subscription to PlayStation Plus for folks in those regions costs £5.49, while a quarterly subscription sits at £11.99.

Sony said that the price increase is being made due to what they term as "market conditions" and their desire to bring the best to their subscribers.

Sony has yet to announce how much the new monthly and quarterly subscriptions will cost.
