The roster of PlayStation Plus games for the month of October is now out, and available for download on the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation Vita. As speculated in the previous weeks, the roster includes a healthy batch of horror video games to coincide with Halloween. However, the main headliner of the list is Kojima Production's "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain."

Just as expected, Sony has revealed the list to expectant subscribers of the PlayStation Plus right on time – on the first Tuesday, as always. According to Express UK, "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" is one of the biggest games that they have added to the PlayStation Plus roster in history, being that it is a very highly-acclaimed triple A title. This could possibly spark a rise in subscriptions for the month of October, or force fans to play the game while they can.

"Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" is a combination of advancement in the technology of video games, accompanied by a storyline that aptly and sufficiently concludes this chapter in the "Metal Gear" series through an open-world sandbox type game. With the game now available to play, the previous headliner "inFAMOUS: Second Son" is no longer available for players to download.

In a report by Gamespot, the "Amnesia" games will satiate gamers' fans for horror games right in time for the Halloween season. Both "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" and "Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs" are already available for download and will likely be more than enough to scare gamers around the world. In total, the PS4 will be receiving four free games, while the PS3 will only have three.

According to Comic Book, PS3 fans will be able to access "Monster Jam Battlegrounds," which is a monster truck racing simulator. Gamers who love monster trucks will be able to enjoy races with a friend or against the CPU.
