There will reportedly be more than 100 games coming to the PlayStation VR, at least according to one Sony executive.

In an interview with the BBC, Sony chief executive Kaz Hirai said that there would be upwards of 100 games coming to the new VR headset.

According to Hirai, more than 200 developers have already signed up for the PlayStation VR's development program, and altogether, they are already in the process of creating and developing more than 100 different titles.

Hirai indicated that the number of games already being made for the PlayStation VR is evidence of the strong support they are getting from developers.

Unfortunately, Hirai did not reveal more details about the 100 or so games that are reportedly in development for the VR headset.

As Gamespot also pointed out, there also seems to be just a few titles that are currently known as of now.

Some of the games currently tabbed for the PlayStation VR include the aerial combat game "Ace Combat 7" and the rail shooting title "Rez."

As of now at least, it also appears as though Sony is still unprepared to talk more about the other games coming to the PlayStation VR.

Fans looking to find out more about the other games coming to the PlayStation VR may want to pay attention to another event coming later this year.

As IGN reported, Sony will be using their upcoming Developer's Conference to reveal more about the PlayStation VR. The event is currently scheduled to take place at the Loews Hollywood Hotel from May 10 to 11 of this year.

Sony will reportedly be providing more information about the PlayStation VR at the event, and that may very well include details about new games.

There's also a chance that the upcoming Developer's Conference may be the last stop before Sony officially launches the PlayStation VR, as the headset is currently expected to be made available to consumers some time within the first half of 2016.
