'Pokemon Go' tips, tricks and cheats: catch chance calculator gives players a boost

For those who do not wish to resort to tricks, catching a Pokemon in the hit ARG "Pokemon GO" might prove to be pretty difficult. After all, tricks like the curve ball takes some time to master, but now, with the new Catch chance tool's creation, players will now be able to save their items, especially if accessing the Pokestops prove to be fairly difficult.

According to the Ecumenical News, catching rare Pokemon is certainly a rigorous task as its capture chances are fairly smaller than common Pokemon. Niantic certainly wants to keep their fanbase engaged and challenged, but by using a calculator based on the Grand Unified Catch Theory (GUCT), players will now be able to see the probability of catching any Pokemon they wish to add to their collection.

The GUCT is a mess of complicated formulas used to determine the Pokemon species as well as its throw bonus, the type of Pokeball used to capture it and more.

The Pokemon Go Hub's calculator simplified the process by automating it, which saves the players from endless hours of boring work computing the capture rate for each Pokemon in the game.

It is worth noting that the trainer should first fill out the form with information regarding the specific Pokemon, their trainer level, as well as the medal bonuses they received from the Pokemon type they chose. Also, it is important to provide whether or not the player can use curve ball or if a Razz Berry was used before clicking the Calculate button, according to BGR.

Then, the calculator will produce the trainer's chances of capturing the Pokemon, regardless of whether or not catch bonuses were applied to the whole catching process. As such, it will help players conserve resources while still maximizing their chances of catching their most desired Pokemon.

"Pokemon GO" can be played using both Android and iOS devices.
