'Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire' patch 1.4 update brings new challenges and features

There is a new update for the "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" titles of the hugely popular "Pokémon" franchise. This update, rolled out days ago, brought in fresh challenges and adjustments to make the game much more fun and more engaging to "Pokémon" trainers.

The patches for both titles measure 250 to 270 blocks in size, and are considered mandatory updates. For hardcore "Pokémon" players, this means that unless the game's version has been updated, gamers will not have access to online content. Once the new patch has been downloaded and updated, gamers would have access to online features such as the Wonder Trade option, connecting to the Global Trade Station, redeeming Mystery Gifts, using the Game Sync option, and connecting with other fans using the Player Search System.

The new update, patch 1.4 for both "Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire," is also expanded to include the "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" versions. The patch would be the fifth one since version 1.0.

As with usual game updates, players can manually download and update the titles to the newest version over the air. Players should start by first starting the game while connected to the Internet. Automatically, a message would appear prompting them to update the title. Players should then tap the "Update" button or press "Y," and then select "Download Now" followed by "Yes" to immediately begin the download process. Once the update is successful, the title should show the newest version 1.4, meaning that the update has been completed correctly.

If players want to check the changelog notes first before downloading, the information about the latest update can be shown by selecting "View Details in Nintendo eShop and Then Download" rather than the "Download Now" option. This will launch the Nintendo eShop window, where players can view additional details and information before downloading the update.
