'Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon' news: Differences from regular versions
"Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon" have just been released a few days ago, and players are wondering if it has enough new content for them to buy the games right away. Essentially, the game remains the same, but there is a lot of new exclusive content that players may just want to try them out themselves.
The goal of every Pokemon game, aside from beating the Elite Four, is to "catch 'em all." In "Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon," players have new Pokemon to catch, especially a few unique legendaries. By traveling through Ultra Wormholes, players get the chance to battle new Ultra Beasts and even an exclusive mythical Pokemon as well.
These wormholes can bring players into nostalgia bringing them to places where they can fight and catch all the legendaries from all of the previous Pokemon titles. Note, however, there are several legendaries that are exclusive to either "Ultra Sun" or "Ultra Moon."
There is more to the game's way of putting their players into nostalgia, as per Polygon. After defeating the Elite Four, there is a superteam called Team Rainbow Rocket playing an essential role in the postgame. This team is composed of the leaders of every enemy organization from every previous Pokemon titles. Gamers can even battle a big number of members from every group in Team Rainbow Rocket's Castle.
There is also a new mode called Battle Agency where players can borrow Pokemon and fight with them. This is similar to the previous Pokemon titles' Pokemon Stadium feature. In line with more mini-games, the game also has a Mantine Surf game. Trainers will get onto a Mantine like a surfboard and ride the waves.
Of course, there is also something new to be witnessed when it comes to the storyline. With the game being in a seemingly darker alternate Alola region, gamers will follow the plot revolving around legendary Pokemon Necrozma. Unlike the regular versions, "Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon" will have more cinematic features with Necrozma in it, including his different forms due to his fusion with either other legendaries Solgaleo and Lunala.
