Ever since Nintendo and Niantic Inc. announced their collaboration for the augmented reality mobile game "Pokemon Go" last year, very little information has been released. That is all about to change as Nintendo and Niantic Labs are set to present the game and even give a short demo at this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC). 

The information was confirmed when the official GDC website listed the "Pokemon Go" presentation in its schedule of events. At the moment, no exact time or date for the presentation has been listed but according to a report from IGN, the conference is going to be held from March 14 to 18, and therefore the "Pokemon Go" presentation will occur between those dates.

According to the official GDC listing, attendees will be able to experience the game's mechanics firsthand, which indicates that Nintendo is not just going to show off "Pokemon Go" in action but may also allow people to try a functional demo.

It is unsure if this demo will solely be for the mobile game or if attendees will also be able to try the optional accessory, the Pokemon Go Plus, which allows players to find and capture Pokemon in the real world without having to look at their phone screen.

The presentation won't just focus on the mechanics of "Pokemon Go" but will also hold a special presentation from Niantic CEO and founder John Hanke as he discusses the future of mobile gaming and augmented reality in general. It is expected that this presentation will reveal exactly how "Pokemon Go" works.

"Pokemon Go" will be the first major game in the franchise on mobile devices. Using augmented reality, the game will encourage players to actually step out of their homes and explore the real world in order to find, capture, combat and trade Pokemon. 

"Pokemon Go" has no official release date yet but is expected to release this year.
