The Easter event of "Pokémon Go" just started on Thursday, offering several bonuses and perks for its players.

On April 13, the "Pokémon Go's" Easter Event called the "Easter Eggstravaganza" was launched to offer different incentives for players to enjoy. For one, players can hatch their Pokémon eggs at a faster rate. Players also get the chance to hatch rarer Pokémon from the two- and five-kilometer eggs.

For example, there were players who were able to hatch Larvitar and Lapras from the two-kilometer eggs. There were also those who managed to see three generation 2 Pokémon in the five-kilometer eggs particularly Cyndaquil, Chikorita and Totodile, which came as a surprise as these Pokémon cannot be hatched in any of the eggs previously.

On the Reddit page of The Silph Road, players shared updates and tips regarding the "Pokémon Go" Easter Event. The discussion included a list of the different Pokémon characters that can be hatched from the two, five and 10-kilometer eggs during the "Easter Eggstravaganza."

Meanwhile, in the discussion portion, a fan with username urkldajrkl shared a tip for players who were able to hatch Lavitar. The user suggests using the Pokémon as a buddy and to hop on one foot for 10 kilometers to maximize the creature.

Aside from the eggs, the "Easter Eggstravaganza" enables players to earn more candies and double experience (XP). For those who are using lucky eggs, they get even more with quadruple XP.

To further maximize the game's Easter event, Heavy suggests using lucky eggs while playing "Pokémon Go." Even if the lucky egg only lasts for 30 minutes, utilizing it will give the player tons of experience.

Coincidentally, the lucky eggs are on sale in the Pokémon store at 50 percent off. As for those who do not want to purchase, the lucky eggs can also be earned by leveling up. However, this requires time and patience as the item becomes available only every five levels.

The "Pokémon Go" Easter Event will end next Thursday, April 20, at 4 p.m. EDT.
