'Pokemon GO' release date news: leaked footage shares some tips on how to create character and catch Pokemon

As more regions get to try "Pokemon GO," more leaks emerge. The field test in Australia and New Zealand has just started, but a gameplay leak from the testing has already found its way online.

The footage ran for almost 10 minutes and showed a lot of features in the game starting with the character creation and customization.

"Pokemon GO" players choose the outfit, the design of their cap and backpack as well as everything about the appearance that users can choose from in creating the likeness they want for their counterpart in the world of Pokemon.

When the character creation is complete, they will be transported onto the map immediately. Players won't have a Pokemon buddy. They will need to find one and catch it.

Speaking of which, "Pokemon GO" likes to notify players of a Pokemon sighting by putting an image of the Pokemon over the area where they showed up on the map.

The leaked "Pokemon GO" gameplay clip showed the player catch Porygon, Vulpix, Magnemite as well as Meowth. The gamer also demonstrated a battle.

When players catch a Pokemon, they have the option to use the camera to have the real world as the background. They can also use the flat world map provided in the game.

Items available in "Pokemon GO" include a Poke Ball used for catching wild Pokemon, a Great Ball, which promises a high catch rate and an Ultra Ball, which guarantees even better success rate than the Great Ball.

All the Pokemon up for grabs are listed on the Pokedex. The ones players manage to catch are shown while the rest are only silhouettes.

The same type of a "Pokemon GO" gameplay clip was shared by another player, but it was taken down. The same is expected to happen in this video as well so players are advised to check it out before it's gone.
