As more and more fans are getting hooked again to "Pokémon GO," they are now also wondering when the next batch of pocket monsters will arrive at the game. Recently, however, data miners have stumbled upon the Gen 2 characters on its code.

Game developer Niantic has released update version 0.45.0 for Android and 1.15.0 for iOS last Sunday, and the latest APK has revealed several things that could come in the game soon. In the meantime, these are just placeholders, so a future update is still required. However, nobody has an idea when this update will arrive.

According to The Silph Road, it has found references to 100 new generation 2 Pokémon, which was never seen before. This will include Pokedex #152 (Chikorita) to #251 (Celebi), and this also means that there will be 52 new families to appear in the game that will include Ho-Oh and Lugia, among others

There is also a reference to a new "Transform" move that could be injected into the game. It is considered to be a quick move and a different from charge or special move. The word is now contained in a file that handles its animation as well as the APK code. It is also the first time that a new move will be introduced.

Several new codes that refer to the lockout system (anti-gym-sniping) and quest system (for daily bonuses) were also uncovered. A code that was previously uncovered that pertains to a new sponsor is still included with the latest update, as well as the "Condolence" ribbon.

Slash Gear also showed a detailed report on possible evolutions the Pokémon may undergo once Gen2 has been added to the game. One expected evolution change could happen with Eevee, which could have a total of six monster types (including its original form). Three of them are already available, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon, while Espeon and Umbreon could arrive later.

For characters that already are in its evolved forms, their pre-evolved types could arrive in future updates. Pokémon like Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee will have Tyrogue as the pre-evolved form, but will also have Hitmontop for its next evolution.

In the meantime, fans are advised to enjoy more of the game while waiting for "Pokémon GO" Gen 2 update.
