A special Halloween event is expected to arrive in "Pokemon Go" this month. But, it looks like there is more coming to the game apart from this spooky-themed update.

Niantic recently rolled out "Pokemon Go" update 0.79.2, which seemingly contained only minor bug fixes to enhance overall gameplay ahead of the Halloween season. However, a new datamine has revealed that Pokemon from generation three will also be added once the October event kicks off.

According to fan community The Silph Road, the latest "Pokemon Go" update included a new loading screen featuring generation three Pokemon — Shuppet, Banette, Dusclops, Duskull, and Sableye — none of which are currently available in the game.

Gengar and Murkrow are also seen in the image, with the ghost/poison type posing in the center and the avian off to the left. Below them is a Trainer character, surrounded by pumpkins, which can be seen wearing a Mimikyu hat, possibly to promote "Pokemon Ultra Sun" and "Pokemon Ultra Moon," which are coming to Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 17.

Meanwhile, there are sound files for the Generation 3 Pokedex and a badge to reward those who will successfully capture the new monsters. Other data found within the update reference Halloween music, bug fixes, tracing tools, and new debugging, according to Game Rant.

For now, this information is only from a datamine and has not been officially confirmed by Niantic. But as reported previously, the publisher did tease in a blog post that the Halloween 2017 event includes "catching new Pokemon to fill out our Pokedex."

The previous additions to the game were Mewtwo and the three Johto Legendaries: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres. While a new batch is on the way, there is still a handful of Pokemon missing in the game, including Celebi, Delibird, Ho-Oh, Mew, and Smeargle.
