Just what kinds of Pokémon can people expect to find in the augmented reality game of "Pokémon Go?"

That has been the question on the minds of many fans as they have waited for the release of the new game, and there may now be a bit clarity with regard to that matter.

According to a statement from The Pokémon Company, and as reported by Moviepilot, the people behind the game are currently thinking of ways to connect "Pokémon Go" to the earlier games from the franchise.

To be clear, indicating that the team behind "Pokémon Go" is coming up with ways to connect the game to other entries from the franchise is still quite vague, although it does leave the door open for some possibilities.

One possibility is that the creatures that players will be able to find inside "Pokémon Go" encompasses the entirety of the franchise itself, meaning it will include even all the new Pokémons that have been coming out recently.

As of now, the belief is that upon launch, "Pokémon Go" will only feature the original generation of Pokémons, so it will still be an impressive roster, yet still not as expansive as the one that fans have come to know over the years.

Unfortunately, it figures to be some time before people can know for sure what will be the specifics of "Pokémon Go."

According to PC Advisor UK, there is still no official release date for the game, and the only expectation is that it will be released sometime next year.

With such an uncertain timeline, the door is open for numerous possibilities regarding "Pokémon Go."

The good news is that the app is still expected to be free to download upon its release, although there will reportedly be bits of content that players can purchase for the game as well.
