Nintendo announced back in September that there will be a new addition to the list of "Pokémon" games. Fans were excited to learn that the upcoming title, "Pokémon GO," will be different from others. Since then though, Nintendo and developer Niantic have remained silent on the progress of the much-anticipated augmented reality title. Meanwhile, the game's announcement trailer did not provide much about the title. 

Now, though, a number of new details have been released on the upcoming "Pokémon GO" game.

A recent interview by Venture Beat revealed some new information about the game. Speaking to the industry follower, Niantic CEO John Hanke and Chief Marketing Officer Mike Quigley revealed that one noted feature of the upcoming "Pokémon GO" title is that players who prefer certain types of Pokémon will need to scout choice locations.

Hanke said, "Pokémon will live in different parts of the world depending on what type of Pokémon they are. Water Pokémon will live near the water."

Meanwhile, the Niantic CEO also added that for players who collect rare creatures, they may not be that accessible since rare Pokémon may only be caught in certain areas. However, Hanke stressed that another signature franchise feature, trading, will play a huge part: "It may be that certain Pokémon will only exist in certain parts of the world. Very rare Pokémon may exist in very few places. But you can trade."

According to Rocket News, another noted feature that will go live for "Pokémon GO" is that true to the gameplay that was seen in the original anime adaptation, there will also be Pokémon events. Since "Pokémon GO" will be global, the industry follower believes that aside from a catch-and-trade genre, there will be a number of competitive players who may want to battle it out in the Pokémon gyms that will be integrated into the game.
