While Nintendo has not yet laid out its plans for the presentation, a release date announcement is certainly possible, since the annual E3 is a major event in the gaming industry and a perfect chance to reveal major game announcements.

In addition, speculations continue to come out that "Pokémon GO" will have a late 2016 release, just before the holidays. This means that the E3 is a perfect venue for Nintendo to unveil when fans can expect a major franchise installment.
