For those who have not been playing "Pokemon GO" for a while, now is the time to come back to the game as trainers around the world have an eciting new event to look forward to. The game is getting into the Halloween spirit, and now it is putting a twist to the old "trick or treat" tradition during this famous holiday.

According to Game N Guide, Niantic has launched a four-day celebration event for Pokemon Trainers, which already started on Wednesday, Oct. 26. The even will then end on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Trainers who play around this time period will receive twice the number of candies whenever they catch a Pokemon. Basically, every catch will now yield six candies, meaning that players can level up or evolve their Pokemon faster than before.

Also, the buddy system for the game awards four times more candies upon completing the task. Furthermore, the Professor will give twice the number of candies whenever a Pokemon is transferred to him, and players will get the same modifier amount whenever they hatch Pokemon from eggs.

For those who have yet to try the new buddy system, it is designed to allow players to earn candies for their buddy Pokemon after walking a certain distance. The distance required is different for each Pokemon, though, but when it comes to efficiency, it seems that Lapras is still the best Pokemon, according to surveys.

Meanwhile, EuroGamer reports that the spawn rate for some ghost-type Pokemon has been increased.

The Pokemon included are: Drowzee, Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Golbat, Hypno and Zubat.

However, some other unreported Pokemon are seeing some increased spawn rates, though these come from various player reports and thus must be taken with a grain of salt: Cubone, Marowak, and Meowth.

As such, players are encouraged to check out the "Pokemon GO" game before the Halloween event ends.
