Popular augmented reality game "Pokémon Go" recently released brand-new features like dynamic, real-life weather conditions and a new generation of pocket creatures. However, Niantic is not stopping there. The developer is intent on seeing trading and player-versus-player battles (PvP) arriving to the game.

According to Niantic, trading and battles between players are still part of the roadmap for the popular game. The team is in active discussion to determine how to best add the said features into "Pokémon Go."

"Trading was mentioned in the initial launch trailer of the game, so that is definitely something that we want to get to at some point," Niantic's global product marketing lead Archit Bhargava told IGN.

He added that the priority for the company has always been to release features that will get the "Pokémon Go" excited and energized.

Bhargava admitted that they have not fully investigated how trading and player battles would be implemented in the game, so fans waiting for these features may need to wait a bit longer. However, the executive assured players that they continue to talk about these features and hope to get them very soon.

"For now, though, we thought it had been a while since the Pokémon from the Johto region came out, that was in February," Bhargava added. "So we definitely felt the need to bring out the Hoenn region Pokémon, so that became the focus, and dynamic weather came through that. So that's the focus now and we definitely want to get to those other features very soon."

In a recent update, "Pokémon Go" introduced 50 new Generation 3 Pokémon to the game, including the starters Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip. Generation 3 monsters first appeared on the game during the Halloween event, when a handful of ghost-themed Pokémon was added to the mobile game.

The new update also added a dynamic weather feature to the game. It can now reflect the real-life weather and climate of the players depending on their locations.
