The 722nd Pokémon creature has been named.

Pokémon Magearna was introduced Sunday on the official Pokémon website, which also revealed that the character that is described as one of the most important human inventions 500 years ago will debut in the next "Pokémon" movie, titled "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Ingenious Magearna."

The new Pokémon is said to be 3.03-inches in height and weighs 177.5 lbs. The Pokémon Company has yet to reveal if Magearna will be one of the playable characters in the current or next "Pokémon" games.

According to the website, the upcoming installment in the "Pokémon" film franchise will center on the unlikely allegiance between Ash and the Mythical Pokémon named Volcanion, who is known for his strong hatred for humans.

A summary for the upcoming movie was posted on Serebii, saying, "Volcanion completely ignores Ash and his friends, and attempts to hurry away, but for some reason Ash ends up getting pulled along with it. Volcanion makes a run for it, and Ash gets pulled along. Incredibly, without either of them noticing, the two ended up linked together by a strange chain! Even though they want to get loose from this chain, it proves impossible. With no other choice, Volcanion started running off towards 'Azoth Kingdom' while pulling Ash along with it, constantly fighting with him on the way."

They will be forced together to save mankind's ultimate invention, Artificial Pokémon Magearna, from the hands of a crooked cabinet minister from Azoth Kingdom named Jarvis, who wants to use its mysterious powers to gain control over the mechanical kingdom.

Can Ash and Volcanion save Magearna while they remain linked with each other?

The upcoming movie, which will reportedly feature the biggest battle in the entire Pokémon history, is slated to be released later in 2016.
