Ever since Nintendo and The Pokemon Company announced that the next entries in the "Pokemon" franchise will be "Pokemon Sun and Moon," very little information regarding the games has been released. However, that is about to change as a report from Go Nintendo reveals a big announcement is scheduled for April 15.

According to the report, the current issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro has an advertisement that reveals that the next issue, which will be released on the abovementioned date, will focus a lot on "Pokemon Sun and Moon," although the report does not reveal what kind of information will be unveiled.

While it is entirely possible that the next issue of CoroCoro will simply detail the game's setting, it is also possible that new gameplay mechanics will be explored, such as possible changes to combat, new Pokemon types or even new methods of capturing Pokemon.

According to Cinema Blend, there are speculations that "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will also be released for the Nintendo NX. The report points out that the game will primarily launch for the New 3DS, which will allow it to utilize full stereoscopic 3D, and then be released again in full HD for the Nintendo NX.

It is also speculated that there will be cross-platform gameplay, allowing players on the 3DS to trade or battle players on the NX version. This would be different from the import-export feature from older generations such as how "Pokemon Yellow" could connect to "Pokemon Stadium."

If this is proven true then this would be the first main "Pokemon" game to be released on consoles. Many spin-offs have seen a console release, such as "Pokemon Stadium" and "Pokemon Colloseum" but none of the main franchise entries have thus far.

More information regarding "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will be announced when the April issue of CoroCoro magazine finally hits store shelves.
