A new "Pokémon Sun and Moon" trailer has just been released where fans get to see several new things for the upcoming game. Finally, the main characters were introduced in the video as well as their abilities, a new Pokémon ally to assist in a few things, and a new feature called QR Scanner .

On the "Pokemon Sun" box art is Solgaleo, a lion-esque legendary Pokemon. It is a psychic/steel type, and with the help of its full metal body ability, its stats cannot get any lower than its current values. It comes with a killer move called Sunsteel Strike.

On the otherhand, the "Pokemon Moon" box art is called Lunala, which is a psychic/ghost type character armed with the Shadow Shield ability that helps it sustain less damage from attacks of other Pokémons with full HP.  It's signature move is called Moongeist Beam that releases a beam of light to disable its target's ability.

Fans can also get a Rotom Pokedex, which keeps track of information on every Pokemon seen and caught by its trainer. It will be given by Professor Kukui, and will show the players' current location and the next location to vist.  It also provides tips and advice on where to find the next Pokémon.

Its official description says, "The Pokédex is a convenient tool that records information about the Pokémon you see and catch during your adventure. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, your character receives a special Pokédex from Professor Kukui to support you in your travels.

It added, "It's known as the Rotom Pokédex, and it's inhabited by Rotom, a Pokémon with the power to reside in various electronic appliances. It does much more than record Pokémon info—it sparkles with its own personality. The Rotom Pokédex shows your current location and your next destination, and it also gives you advice on where to go next, based on the conversations you have with others! It's likely to be of great help to you in many parts of your adventure."

Additionally, the upcoming "Pokémon Sun and Moon" will be featuring a QR code scanner. This will allow players to register Pokémon of the Alola region on their Pokédex, which will then assist them on where to capture them.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" will be available for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18.
