'Pokémon Sun and Moon' tips, tricks & cheats update 2016: Things players should keep in mind in starting the game

Nintendo just launched "Pokémon Sun and Moon" for its 3DS portable game console. Now, before game fans start their own adventures, they take note of these first.

For those opting to have a digital copy of the game, it should be available to download now. A hefty amount of storage space is needed for this game since a 4 GB SD card will only be able to accommodate a single game. Each game will consume around 3.2 GB of space and will leave very little space. A small update is also needed to start the ball rolling. Additionally, Nintendo mentioned earlier that data from the demo version of the game is impossible to transfer to the full game because it will not fit a single SD card.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" take the players to the Alola region that contains four interconnected islands. They will then have to explore these islands and complete missions. According to Lazygamer, knowing the location of the Teaching Machines serves a big advantage early in the game, especially during combat. For example, TM 01 is located in Hau'oli City, and a reward is given upon beating all four trainers at the Trainer School. TM02 at Pony Island, Poni Canyon, and Vast gives the Dragon Claw skill. TM03 teaches Psyshock, located at Ula'ula Island at Sunne lake. TM03 brings in the Calm Mind, Poni Island, Pokémon Centre at the Seafolk Village and so on. A total of 100 TMs is in the game.

Venture Beat added that the Pokédex will be useful in the game. It urges the players to look into the tool to know where to find those strong Pokémon characters. Also, players should try to walk onto the grassy area of the playing field. It is said to be full of surprises.

For those who are just starting, do not be in a hurry to get into a battle. Try to collect several pocket monsters first and after an hour or so in the game, a player will receive an Exp Share item. Then, it is time to rock and roll. The item will ensure that every Pokémon in the party will gain experience points even if they are not the one on the actual fight.

Bonus activities are also available at the Festival Plaza. These activities will let the players earn Festival coins, which can be used to buy items, also in the area.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" is now available for the Nintendo DS in North America and other parts of the world, except Europe, which will see the release of the game on Nov. 23.
