After heading outdoors to catch elusive pocket monsters with "Pokémon GO," Pokémon fans are now enamored with the latest game from The Pokémon Company called "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." With the recently released titles, players need not leave the comfort of their own homes to find Pokémon, but they will need to explore the Alola region to find the creatures, and to give them a little help to evolve.

There are several ways to help a Pokémon evolve, and one of the most effective ways is to find evolution stones. Past "Pokémon" games already featured the evolution stones, and the number of stones has increased over time.

According to VG247, there are stones hidden all throughout the region of Alola, and players can get these stones for them to be able to expose their Pokémon to make them evolve. Gamers need to remember to expose a Pokémon to a stone of its type, so Fire Pokémon like Marowak should only be exposed to a Fire stone, and Ice Pokémon such as the Alolan Vulpix should only be exposed to an Ice stone, and so on.

Here's a guide on where to find evolution stones in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon."
