As the franchise is still going strong after 20 years, the "Pokémon" series doesn't show signs of stopping anytime soon. A new show for the franchise is set to debut this Saturday on Cartoon Network.

In its official announcement, The Pokémon Company confirmed that "Pokémon the Series: XYZ" anime will premiere on Feb. 20 on Cartoon Network, with the pilot episode starting at 7 a.m. ET.

According to Yibada, the new series will have fans see Ash and his friends embark on a new adventure, meeting new allies as well as enemies along the way. In the first episode, the industry follower mentioned that Bonnie will make an incredible new Pokémon friend. Meanwhile, Ash will encounter a new group of enemies, Team Flare.

Interestingly, it is revealed that Team Flare is a dedicated one, going after the secrets that the Legendary Pokémon Zygarde may be holding. While it is unclear when Team Flare or Ash and his friends will encounter the rare Pokémon, it is hinted that Zygarde may already appear in the pilot telecast, as the Legendary Pokémon may be the "incredible Pokémon" Bonnie already befriended.

The entire series is also rumored to focus on the new Legendary Pokémon, as well as the previously discovered ones seen on the prior "XY" series. Meanwhile, the main protagonists continue to go on adventures and discover the secrets of the Kalos region.

Meanwhile, it is also revealed that in their adventures, Alain will continue with his search for the source of Mega Evolution.

"Pokémon the Series: XYZ" debuted in Japan in October last year, and Cartoon Network picked it up to continue where "Pokémon XY" left off, which aired on the network in 2014. After its debut on Feb. 20, fans will be able to catch the episodes of "Pokémon The Series: XYZ" every Saturday in local listing time slots.
