In a touching move to commemorate their late president, Satoru Iwata, developer Game Freak includes a backstory about Iwata in the Nintendo 3DS game "Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon."

Players would be able to find the tribute in the in-game offices of Game Freak, which are located in HeaHea City. As known with the other Game Freak games, developments or trivias are often narrated or revealed in each story.

The narration will unfold based on the Pokemon players have caught from the previous games. Gamers need to bring a Pokemon from Pokemon Silver and then talk with Morimoto in the office.

Morimoto will then reveal trivia about the late president. "When we were having trouble fitting all the data in for Gold and Silver, and we were really in a pinch, this amazing guy came along and made a program for us that solved all our problems. He went on to become the amazing president of a real big company soon after that, too," the quote says.

Although Iwata was never mentioned in the dialogue that transpires, as seen in the tweet of Joe Merrick, players can easily understand the character's thoughts. Fans of the game could tell that it was alluding to Iwata, who pretty much was involved in the Pokemon Gold and Silver developments.

Many will also remember that Iwata wanted to include the Kanto region, which was initially from Pokemon Red and Blue. Knowing that this was impossible at the time because of the Game Boy's memory constraints, Iwata then found a way to include and squeeze in the region into the game by compressing it to be able to fit into the limit.

Iwata passed away at the age of 55 in 2015 after the growth of his bile duct. Prior to his death, he had not been seen attending events of his company as per doctors' advice and was later revealed to undergo surgery to address the growth.
