The "Pokkén Tournament" roster continues to grow with the news of the game now adding Blaziken to its ranks.

Blaziken was officially announced as an addition to the roster in a Niconico live stream and also through Famitsu, according to Polygon. Despite the fact that Blaziken was only announced as an official part of the "Pokkén Tournament" roster this past week, the Pokémon was already teased to be a part of the game's roster back in 2013.

In addition to Blaziken being officially added to the game, the developers have also made a new teaser video to show just how the new character will work inside the game.

The Blaziken Pokémon itself adds a new type of fighter to the game, offering a combination of styles that would not have been previously available to players.

Blaziken will bring together the fire attacks along with advanced martial arts techniques to help it beat competing Pokémon. Blaziken also features the Flare Drive attack, which it can use to devastate enemies, according to Techno Buffalo.

Blaziken will be the ninth character added to "Pokkén Tournament." This new Pokémon joins Weavile, Suicune, Pikachu, Machamp, Lucario, Gengar, Gardevoir, and Charizard in the game, although new characters could still be added.

In related news, the game's developer Bandai Namco Entertainment is also taking suggestions for new characters that could possibly be added to the "Pokkén Tournament" as support Pokémon, according to Destructoid.

Fans can send in their ideas for new support characters to the game's official Twitter account. The game's developers are not limiting the number of choices that are available.

So far, only two support characters have been confirmed for the game and they are Fennekin and Lapras, so fans will be tasked with rounding out the roster a bit more.

"Pokkén Tournament" has only been confirmed for an arcade release in Japan at this point, although the game's developers have suggested that the game could eventually make its way west in the future.
