'Pray and forgive': Manny Pacquiao's wife gives advice to struggling married couples

It is no secret that prior to becoming a Christian, Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao wasted his money on booze, drugs, and women, much to the displeasure of his doting wife Jinkee.

But everything changed when Manny met God. He turned his life around and committed to repair his tarnished relationship with Jinkee. Given all the heartache her husband had given her, just how did Jinkee find it in her heart to continue their marriage?

On her Instagram account (@jinkeepacquiao), the boxer's wife shared a photo of her and Manny with their new baby Israel. She wrote beside the photo, "People ask me what advice I have for a married couple struggling in their relationship. I always answer, 'Pray and forgive.'"

And her advice also goes out to everybody else who are dealing with personal difficulties in life: "To young people who come from violent homes, 'Pray and forgive;' and to the single mother with no family support, 'Pray and forgive.'"

Jinkee then shared a prayer which has helped her in her own struggles: "My Lord, I love you. My God, I am sorry. My God, I believe in you. My God, I trust you. Help us to love one another as you love us."

Prayer is just what she and Manny offered to condemned Filipina inmate Mary Jane Veloso when they visited her in Wirogunan jail in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, recently. Veloso was sentenced to death for smuggling drugs into Indonesia back in 2010, but the overseas Filipino worker is claiming that she has been framed.

Jinkee believes that Veloso should not lose hope because "everything works together for good those who love God according to His purpose."
