'Preacher' season 1 episode 6 spoilers: Jesse meets Fiore and DeBlanc

 AMC

"Preacher" started with a strong premiere on AMC and the upcoming sixth episode is finally going to reveal the exact nature of the entity that has taken over Jesse Custer's (Dominic Cooper) body. As stated by Spoilers Guide, Jesse will get the information from the two Adephi angels, Fiore (Tom Brooke) and DeBlanc (Anatol Yusef).

In episode 5 Jesse came face to face with the two angels, and according to the synopsis, they will spend some time with Jesse in episode 6, titled "Sundowner." During this time they will explain the exact nature of what Jesse's power-granting entity really is.

Jesse previously believed that the entity is the essence of God or at least some form of angel which is why he refers to his powers as the Word of God or the Voice of God. This is not the truth, however, a fact that Fiore and DeBlanc will confirm and explain to him in episode 6.

For fans of the comics the nature of Jesse's powers are no surprise. In the original DC comic books the entity is known as Genesis, an angel-demon with destructive powers. Fiore and DeBlanc are angels tasked to watch over Jesse and Genesis although their exact purposes in the show have yet to be explored.

There is also reportedly the chance of the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish) finally making an appearance in the present day. The character has only been seen in flashbacks but this may be the episode where he makes his presence known to Jesse and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun).

"Preacher" is scheduled for 13 episodes in its premiere season and it is speculated that before the season is over Jesse will have full understanding of this entity and his powers, enabling him and the others to confront Eugene (Ian Colletti) and his abusive father, Sheriff Root (W. Earl Brown) for the season finale.

"Preacher" episode 6 airs this July 3.
