Premier Christian Radio will Launch Freeview Broadcast at the End of August

Last week during the ninth anniversary birthday of Premier Christian Radio, it was announced that Premier will be broadcast nationally on Freeview. A further announcement was made that the official launch date will be on 30th August 2004.

Throughout the last nine years, Premier has produced Christian broadcasting that has engaged with all parts of the church, and has been a great resource for each various part of the church.

It had been a nine year vision to use radio to bring the Gospel to the people across the UK and enable the Christian voice to be heard in daily broadcasts in the secular world - and finally this prayer has been answered.

It has been using Medium Wave in the London area since the broadcasts started nine years ago. Regions outside London can only use the relatively expensive satellite and cable networks Sky and NTL. But now the new Freeview Service has been introduced, a highly sought-after transmission slot, which will make Premier more easily accessible to the nation.

With the advantage of 3.5 million households already having access to Freeview, as well as the current London MW, Sky digital, NTL and Internet transmissions, Premier is happy that the UK's Christian community as well as those who do not yet have a faith can access it easily.

The reception will be crystal clear and the cost is very affordable, it costs only a one-off fee of around £50 for a box. Premier is the only Christian radio station on Freeview so far. With the affordable Christian radio coming to the UK, it will surely be a benefit to many people as a tool to spread the gospel on airwaves.
