"Pretty Little Liars" season 7B premiered just a couple of weeks ago with episode 11 titled "Playtime," wherein the Liars faced yet another challenge by the mysterious A.D. The identity of the mind game–loving villain will soon be unveiled, but until then, the Liars will have to find a way to get the upper hand and finally put an end to all the A.D.–induced craziness that has been keeping them trapped in the town of Rosewood.

After seven seasons, the show is now only a few episodes away from its ultimate finale, and now the cast have revealed that they are open to the idea of taking the Liars' stories from the small screen to the big screen.

The stars of the long-running series recently had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison DiLaurentis on the show, said that the upcoming finale will tie the story into a "neat little bow," but it would be great to reunite with the cast in the future to do a "Pretty Little Liars" movie. "Rosewood goes on; there's always more to say," she teased.

Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily Fields, agreed with Pieterse and said, "'Sex and the City' had two movies, so you never say never, right?" She added, "It would absolutely be nice to see the PLLs again in five years, but I'll be catching up with them sooner than that."

However, the movie may not be on the same wavelength as the series. According to Spencer Hastings actress, Troian Bellisario, the show's finale will reach a natural conclusion wherein the viewers will get to visualize the characters "going on and living these amazing lives while staying friends with each other," which is why the movie, if there is going to be any, may have a different vibe.

Executive producer Marlene King also revealed in January at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that after the series ends this year, she plans to find a way to bring back "Pretty Little Liars" and the characters "at some point in time."

"Maybe not in two years but soon," King said. Does this confirm that a movie will indeed be in the works soon?
