'Pretty Little Liars' season 6 spoilers: Liars suffer from trauma in episode 2, 3

The Liars are scared, tired, and dirty in Pretty Little Liars Season 6, "Game on, Charles."ABC Family

The Liars may be out of Charles' clutches but the torture has its enduring impact. This will be the focus of episode 2 of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 titled "Songs of Innocence," as the girls continue to seek freedom from the horrors they saw and experienced in a now-crisped dollhouse.

Charles' identity is still a mystery but what puts fans at the edge of their seats is how he is related to Alison, who has never heard of the guy she shares her surname with. Fortunately, Alison, who also has to deal with her "notoriety" in Rosewood, is as eager as fans to know who Charles really is.

However, identifying who their tormentor was and moving on from the terror at the same time does not do them any good. "Trying to heal" at home yields no success as the Liars are so convinced that danger still lies in wait, ready to jump at them when they least expect it.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 episode 3 titled "Songs of Experience" will echo just that. The lives of the Liars will never be the same, and each of them will have to face different problems and mysteries. The synopsis is as follows:

The girls' lives have been turned upside down by their captivity and each one of them is looking for answers to make sense of their ordeal. Aria focuses on Andrew by trying to figure out who this boy really is, while Emily tries to connect with a new friend. In true Spencer fashion, she is on a mission to get answers about Charles from Ali and Jason. Hanna wants to bring the four friends back together so they can move past what happened in the Dollhouse.

"Meanwhile, Alison is no longer the queen bee/mean girl she once was - but who is she now? A new friend tries to help her find the courage to start anew and find the 'new' Alison."

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 episode 2 will air June 9. Episode 3 will air June 16.
