'Pretty Little Liars' season 6 spoilers: Mona's back in Rosewood in episode 5

Mona returns to Rosewood. ABC Family

The much-awaited return of Mona (Janel Parrish) to Rosewood will finally be seen in the fifth episode of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6.

In the mid-season finale of season 5, Mona was killed by A inside the Vanderwaal house. The Rosewood police arrested and detained Alison (Sasha Pieterse) for her murder. But it turns out that Mona is still alive, and A had been keeping her inside a life-size dollhouse where the Liars saw her in the season 5 finale.

However, since escaping A's lair in the first episode of season 6, Mona has been kept away from Rosewood by her mother. But her presence will finally be felt in the episode titled "She's No Angel."

Mona's return means that more questions will be answered, especially her fake death last season. She is also expected to talk to Rosewood PD so that they can finally discover who the abductor is. But not everyone is excited to see her back in town, especially the sister of her friend Lesli (Elizabeth McLaughlin).

The official synopsis of the episode states:

Mona returns to Rosewood in a very fragile state as she must answer to the police for faking her death. Matters only get worse when she is confronted by Lesli's sister about Lesli's inadvertent involvement in Mona's plot. Hanna (Ashley Benson) is determined to help Mona out, not only to reassure her she is safe from Alison but also to try and repair Mona's friendship with Lesli. Emily (Shay Mitchell) tries to help Sara (Dre Davis) with her troubled home life by encouraging her to explore the possibility of emancipation. Spencer (Troian Bellisario), on the other hand, finds help from someone from her past. Meanwhile, Alison grows closer to Lorenzo (Travis Winfrey) as she looks for support outside of her family."

Some of the things that could excite fans for episode 5 are mentioned in the synopsis, including the developing friendship between Emily and Sara, the girl who was also held captive inside the dollhouse for two years. Is she worth Emily's trust?

Ali also seems to have a new love interest this season, as her friendship with Officer Lorenzo will deepen. Spencer, on the other hand, will be spending time with her former sobriety coach named Dean to help her with something. Will this affect her relationship with Toby (Keegan Allen)?

"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 episode 5 airs Tuesday, June 30, on ABC Family.
