'Pretty Little Liars' season 6 finale spoilers, plot news: Old lovers back to each other?

The Liars are racing against time to beat the Uber Bad in the final episode of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6.

The synopsis for the season 6 finale, titled "Hush... Hush, Sweet Liars," states that the lives of the Liars are in danger. To avoid their untimely death, they must reveal the identity of Charlotte's (Vanessa Ray) killer before the election.

But the Liars refuse to go down without a fight. The synopsis reveals that the Liars will use Hanna (Ashley Benson) as their bait to track down the Uber Bad. But it seems like a lot will unfold before they could finally discover who the real culprit is.

According to a Twitter post by showrunner Marlene King in September 2015, the season 6 finale will have more romantic scenes compared to the past season finales.

Based on the synopsis, there will be a lot of tender moments shared between the Liars and their past lovers in the season 6 finale.

Spencer (Troian Bellisario) will be working with Toby (Keegan Allen) to catch Sara Harvey (Dre Davis). But Toby's new girlfriend, Yvonne (Kara Royster), will start wondering about his real feelings.

While Toby's affections remain in question, Aria's (Lucy Hale) feelings for Ezra (Ian Harding) seem to have returned as he has finally finished writing the last chapter of his book and said goodbye to Nicole. Meanwhile, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) will once again act as Hanna's protector and the former couple will begin to reflect on what could have happened between them.

Emily (Shay Mitchell) will spend more time with Alison (Sasha Pieterse) to make sure that she is okay after she revealed that she is having strange visions.

Aside from romance, the sixth season finale of "Pretty Little Liars" will also drop a major revelation. According to King, the identity of the twin will be revealed this season.

Meanwhile, fans of "Pretty Little Liars" are already concerned about the fate of the show after season 7.

King and the cast already talked about the end of the series after season 7. But the showrunner told TVLine that they are willing to extend the show if the fans want them to.

"We have enough story to take us to the end of Season 7, and we're going to let the fans tell us if they're ready to say goodbye to this world and these characters," King stated.

The sixth season finale of "Pretty Little Liars" airs Tuesday, March 15, on Freeform.
