Ever since the girls' story began years back, Aria has been the only one who got to shush in the opening sequence. This easily became the trademark of the character played by Lucy Hale.

And at long last, this changes when "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 returns, with a whole new opening sequence showing each liar also sharing the honor of shushing.

In this clip, Alison is also standing with the other girls and no longer in a coffin as in the former five-year-old opener. This allows the sequence to reflect the current happenings in the girls' lives.

This is just one of the myriad of changes set to happen in the second half of the current season. When Aria and the group return, five years have passed and they are all grownup. They went to college and are starting to establish a career path.

Apparently, Alison now prefers to be called teacher by her students in Rosewood and Mrs. Rollins, because the liar is now married. Aria seems to have gone into the publishing business.

Hanna has become a fashion icon in New York while trailers show that Emily is either a bartender or an adventurer, judging by the tropical, travel-material feel of the place where she is pouring drinks. Sadly, it is still unclear what Spencer has been up to in the last five years.

In the trailer released for "Pretty Little Liars" season 6B, the girls reunite. It is revealed that their reunion is instigated after they learned of Cece's release from jail. At the end of the first half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6, Cece, aka the girls' tormentor, was jailed for all her crimes but it appears that she's already done her time.

What could this mean? A new round of mysteries, thrills and drama is promised in the return of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 in January next year.
