Last Saturday, royal watchers were expecting that Prince Harry and his new girlfriend, "Suits" actress Meghan Markle, were going to make their debut as a couple at England's rugby match against South Africa. But fans were disappointed when the Prince stepped out solo for the outing and was seen sitting beside the Princess of Monaco at the event.

According to the Daily Mail, bookies had slashed their odds that the couple would be seen together at the match after Markle was spotted in London on Thursday. Now, the media outlet claims that the actress is back in Canada to continue filming the legal drama, which is slated to return next year to USA Network.

A source close to the Prince told Express.co.uk that Markle's two-day visit to London was just a "mini-break" as she has some filming commitments.

"There's been a lot of talk of her being introduced to the Queen and Prince Charles but there simply hasn't been time," added the insider.

It was previously reported that Markle was about to meet Prince William and his wife Duchess Kate over the weekend, but royal aides reportedly refused to confirm whether the meeting took place.

The couple is said to have been dating for several months, but have not been seen in public together. Last week, Prince Harry released a statement condemning the press coverage on Markle, and he also confirmed that the actress is his girlfriend.

Reports indicate that the Prince is tipped to propose to Markle next month. According to Mirror.co.uk, bookies and royal fans are expecting the 32-year-old to propose soon, with Ladbrokes slashing the odds on a Christmas proposal to 2–1.

"They're clearly besotted with each other and we've been left with little option but to slash the odds on an early engagement," Ladbrokes spokesperson Jessica Bridge said to the media outlet.
