As Fox gears for the release of the Prison Break sequel, the studio is busy with production and juggling the schedules of its cast.

Both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who play brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows are regular cast members for The CW's Legends of Tomorrow, Sara Wayne Callies, who plays Michael's love interest Sara Tancredi is involved with USA TV's Colony and Robert Knepper who plays T-Bag is among the cast members with a recurring role in iZombie.

With production under way in Vancouver B.C., Knepper expressed confidence of coming out with a great season, giving credit to the film crew in B.C.

"It's great. I mean, people work their butts off up here and they are on par with the greatest crews anywhere — L.A., the States, in the world — and my hat's off to them. Everyone's giving it 120 per cent so it's great to be a part of that family and that dinner party that gets together and says, 'Hey, we're making some film up in Vancouver.' It's terrific," he said.

Meanwhile, a report by Game N' Guide hinted that the new season will be very different from previous seasons of the hit action series.

Based on the report, instead of breaking somebody out of prison, they will be breaking out Michael from Yemen and it was implied that he may find himself in trouble with the ISIS.

While many of the fans of the original series will wonder how he is alive, it is expected to be answered early in the season.

"This version [of the series] is more worldly, it's heavy shit. The first season was heavy, but this is real heavy shit, because we're dealing with ISIS, we're dealing with ISIL. And on top of that as the background, I'm trying to get my brother out of a Yemen prison - one of the worst prisons in the world. So you have all that going on - it's on another level," Purcell, in an interview, said.

The series is set to premiere early 2017 as part of the midseason line up of Fox and is expected to take the Thursday, 9 pm slot.
