Michael (Wentworth Miller) may have survived to continue the story of "Prison Break," but will his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) get hurt when the series returns to Fox for its fifth season?

Since the series was confirmed for a revival, there have been tons of fan theories circulating about what could happen when Lincoln finds out that his brother did not die in the season 4 finale after breaking him out of death row. It is expected that this time around, the tables will be turned and that Lincoln would have to be the one to bust out Michael from a Yemeni prison after he got entangled with terrorists.

According to a report from iTech Post, the mission is dangerous and far more complicated that the escape plot staged by Michael to spring his brother from jail in the first four seasons. It is also highly possible that one of the brothers could die.

Since it was Michael who made the sacrifice the first time, fans are speculating that it would be Lincoln's life that will be at risk this time around.

A report by  Parent Herald indicated that Michael could be holding sensitive government information which will make his escape from prison even more complicated and challenging.

Meanwhile, most of the cast have confirmed their return to the franchise but cast member William Fichtner — who plays Alexander Mahone — will not be coming back.

According to actor Robert Knepper — who plays T-Bag in the series — writer Paul Schering did not want to bring the entire cast back, especially if he could not think of a possible direction for each character.

On the other hand, another storyline that fans of the show are expecting to see is whether Michael will be reunited with his love interest Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sara Wayne Callies). Early reports hinted that Sara will have already moved on with a new love by the fifth season and that could pose a challenge to their reunion.
