ProChrist - Broadcasting Across Europe

|PIC1|Europe's largest sermon is being broadcast to 1250 venues in 21 countries this March 19-26th. Prochrist, an evangelical outreach program, started by Billy Graham over 12 years ago, is now reaching over half a million across Europe to date.

The main event kicked of on Sunday in the Olympic Stadium, Munich with more than 160,000 participants across the continent watching its main speaker, former general secretary of YMCA, the Rev. Ulrich Parzany discussing the theme of religious tolerance following the Mohammed cartoons. He stressed that the personal relationship with Christ remains essential and is what separates Christianity from the other religions.

So far, 56 venues are airing the program in Hungary, 55 in Slovakia, 49 in the Czech Republic, 45 in Poland and 31 in Croatia, with churches in Slovenia, Portual and the Netherlands participating for the first time, and Rev Parzany confirmed that interest was high in the Eastern and Central European countries this year.

The event was also broadcast to Wetzlar, a small city in Bundesland of Hesse, Germany, via the local cinema!

In an extraordinary atmosphere, the cinema was filled to its 260 capacity, not for Hollywood but for Christ.

Hesitantly, the visitors sang along to the ProChrist song, and prayed in their cushioned seats, reports the Prochrist website. One visitor, a woman shared that she herself had come to believe in ProChrist 2003.
