Game development studio Slightly Mad tries to make up for the delayed release date of the much awaited motorsport simulation video game "Project CARS" (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) by announcing that players will receive new cars for free every month. 

The scheduled release date for the game has been pushed back several times. It was initially reported to come out in November last year, but it was delayed to March 20. The game failed to come out on the said date, and was rescheduled to be released on April 2. However, the game developer now stated that the title will finally come out mid-May. 

The British video game developer explained the delays in the game's official website. It says:

"The scope of the game is by far the grandest and most intricately-detailed that the team have ever worked on, and has been built for the future with a great deal of depth and forward-thinking technology. Combined with the teams own high standards and determination to release the title in its most complete and polished state, and the complex nature of some last-minute issues and bugs, moving the release of the title allows the final product to be one that both matches the original vision of the team and satisfies the expectations of the understanding yet eager audience."

To entice the market despite the repeated delays, Slightly Mad vows to provide free cars every month by releasing DLCs as soon as the game comes out. 

The first car that will be released by the game developer for free is the futuristic high-end supercar Lykan Hypersport. The two-door sportscar, which will also be featured in the upcoming "Furious 7" film in April, is being manufactured by the Lebanese-owned W Motors. It is also considered as the third most expensive car in the world. 

There are no reports yet about what type of car will be released in the next installment of free car DLC at the moment.
