Project Scorpio release updates: Microsoft's beast gaming console to arrive as scheduled

Amid the doubts on whether Microsoft's Project Scorpio will really be released as scheduled later this year, Xbox Chief Phil Spencer has assured those anticipating the device that the brand's upcoming powerful gaming console is well on track as far as its projected release is concerned.

It was at last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 where Microsoft officially announced that it will be releasing its most powerful gaming console yet, the Project Scorpio. Since then, gamers have been anticipating the arrival of the device, which Microsoft describes as a "beast" console and is slated for a release around the holidays later this year.

Recently, though, rumors about the Project Scorpio possibly not meeting its target release date started circulating online. Thankfully, one of Spencer's Twitter followers could not resist the urge to ask him whether Project Scorpio will really be delayed, which the Xbox big boss eventually answered.

"Schedule looks very good right now, no issues," is Spencer's reply to his Twitter follower.

Meanwhile, it is suspected that one of the features that Project Scorpio will boast of is the recently unveiled Windows Mixed Reality. While it remains unclear whether the said feature will be integrated into the company's highly anticipated gaming console or will just be a plugged-in accessory, many can't help but predict that it will drown whatever flaws that might come with the Project Scorpio.

With our without the Windows Mixed reality feature, Project Scorpio is expected to leave hardcore gamers in awe. With its 6 teraflops feature, which is an obvious upgrade from the 1.4 teraflops on the Xbox One S, and a standard storage of the 1 TB, there is no denying that it is, indeed, one beast of a gaming console to watch out for.
