Prom Praise comes to Manchester this September

The BBC Proms season has become one of the most talked-about events in the classical music calendar, with 'The Last Night' being one of the most popular concerts in the world.

Now the All Souls Orchestra is bringing communities and churches together to celebrate at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall for Prom Praise.

Prom Praise is a delightful blend of sacred and concert music, a joyful fusion of performance with worship, combining the spirit of Songs of Praise with the world-famous Last Night of the Proms.

Presented by the All Souls Orchestra under the energetic and inimitable direction of Principal Conductor and Artistic Director Noel Tredinnick, Prom Praise is a feast of orchestral, solo and choral items. There is an element of celebration too when Noel and the Orchestra invite the audience to stand and join in to sing some favourite hymns and worship songs.

The All Souls Orchestra is returning to Manchester's Bridgewater Hall following their last visit in 2007. For this occasion the Orchestra will be joined by a choir which combines members of the Sale Choral with a children's choir drawn from schools in the Manchester area.

The guest artists are also all Manchester-based, with opera tenor Richard Pollock making his Prom Praise debut, joining soprano Margaret Ferguson who is returning by popular demand.

Former Bishop of Chester Michael Baughen will be joining other ViP guests from across Greater Manchester including the Mayors of Bury, Salford, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan, and the Bishop of Bolton.
