Gamers of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" (PUBG) need not fear the unknown during gameplay. Since the release of the new desert map bundled with the game's full release, several guides have also surfaced on how to be the last one standing in the new setting. This guide will compile the best spots in the new desert map named Miramar, as well as some tips on how to survive or more efficiently become the hunter instead of the hunted.

As with the default Mediterranean map, Erangel, staying away from densely-packed buildings and more urbanized areas could be the key to surviving longer than the first half of all the starting 100 players. Choosing to paradrop on a lone house or hamlet instead of a large town will make an encounter less likely. The catch is that there are fewer chances of finding strong equipment early on, but if there's no one to kill yet, then it does not really matter that much.

Being a desert map, Miramar also has very little foliage outdoors, which makes buildings a lot more valuable than in Erangel. Should players have to dash through a bald landscape, they should make sure to consume an energy drink first so their characters can run faster.

Of course, survivalist know-hows are moot without proper gear, which is why some locations are more advantageous than others since they start out with better gear than others. Pecado is one area which can easily give players a lot of level 3 gear, though it is a large town and having too many players there can easily lead to a bloodbath early on. On the other hand, Campo Militar, as the name implies, is a military camp, and it contains several military-grade guns an equipment, so it should be quite easy to get out of the area should a crossfire ensue.

The Water Treatment Plant is also full of nice equipment, and it has a lot of hiding spots too. In addition, Hacienda del Patron is remote enough from the large towns that it is relatively safe there at the time being, and it also has a lot of good gear. Finally, the Prison has some advantageous gear which players can use, and should the area get too hot or populated, players can opt for one of the nearby satellites of the area which could also have decent equipment.

Players must keep in mind though, that due to this guide and others like it, the mentioned areas might get populated fast.
