Players of the phenomenal game "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" may soon be able to pick maps for their matches. "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" or "PUBG" is set to come out of Steam's Early Access real soon. With this, players will be thrilled to know that after playing for a long time in Erangel, the developers of the game will add a map selection feature soon.

According to PC Gamer, "PUBG" developer Bluehole originally planned for map selection to be random. The idea was to force players into adapting to any situation, or any map, for that matter. However, recent feedback from players seems to have changed their initial plans.

Earlier this month, Bluehole released a new desert map for "PUBG." The map, called "Miramar," has been getting a good feedback, especially from those who have played the game since day one. In Bluehole's test build patch notes released on Friday, Dec. 15, it seemed that they have been actually listening to "PUBG" players' feedbacks. "We came to the conclusion that it is best to allow our players to choose which map they want to play on," said Bluehole in their 1.0 Test Build Patch Notes #3.

With the addition of maps, however, comes three team modes and two perspectives. "PUBG" will now have 12 game modes in total. "PUBG" Battle Royale mode will require 100 players to play. This means that queuing times could be very long for areas with small numbers of "PUBG" players. Matches may not even start at all.

"We need some time to address the anticipated problems and technical issues, so maps will not be selectable right after PC 1.0 release," added Bluehole in their test build patch note. "We will do our best to add the feature and required systems as soon as we can, so you can enjoy Battle Royale in the map of your choice."

"PUBG" was released on the Xbox One on Tuesday, Dec.12. The 1.0 PC version of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" will come sometime before the year ends.
