ABC's new drama "Quantico" is still early into its current season, but it seems that the series is not picking up good ratings.

Ever since the show premiered on Sept. 27, it has seen a decline in ratings especially now that AMC's zombie hit series "The Walking Dead" has returned.

Based on the preliminary ratings from Nielsen, the FBI series got a total of 5.7 million viewers and an average rating of 1.6 among 18 to 49-year-old audiences — a number which has gone lower than the previous 1.9 during its first two episodes, Variety reported.

The story centers around Agent Alex Parrish's (Priyanka Chopra) time at the FBI training grounds in Quantico and nine months later, she is seen on the run from the same institution.

Parrish is accused of being involved in a terrorist attack on New York — considered to be the worst since the 9/11 incident.

The show will also feature young recruits of the bureau and will showcase why each one of them is training at Quantico.

Fans will also expect to see more flashbacks, as the series will tell stories of each character before they found themselves joining the academy.

In the latest episode of "Quantico," which aired last Sunday, Oct. 11, Alex found out that even though her father was involved in a fight with her mom and was more of a drunk, he was also considered a hero, having worked for the FBI and saved many lives.

It was revealed that Alex shot her father and she will struggle to live with that.

Meanwhile, in the upcoming episode titled "Kill," the recruits will undergo a training exercise to rescue hostages, according to ABC's official synopsis.

A sneak peak of "Kill" was released by the network and teases that Alex would fail the exercise and start to wonder if she's cut out for the job.

The next episode will have Rick Cosnett, Anabelle Acosta, Johnathon Schaech, Mark Pellegrino and Anna Khaja as guest stars.

"Quantico" will return with episode 4 on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
