The past will be further discussed in the next episode of ABC's "Quantico."

The network has released the official synopsis for the episode, titled "Cover," which reads:

"At Quantico, Alex finally receives information about her father and his FBI past, but in the future it's her mother, Sita, who plays a key role when Liam convinces her to participate in a press conference on national television begging Alex to turn herself in. Also at Quantico, the NATS learn the art of profiling and focus on their classmates' strengths and weaknesses, ultimately challenging their confidence and comradery."

It means that that the family history of Alex (Priyanka Chopra) will be discussed in the new episode of the groundbreaking terrorism thriller. She will learn more about her father in particular, who was the main reason why she joined the FBI Academy in the first place.

Alex and the rest of the new FBI New Agents in Training (NATs) will learn about how to do profiling in the upcoming episode. Since this is one of the major skills that an agent needs to master, the NATs will have to analyze one another to test if they have learned anything. They will concentrate one another's strengths and weaknesses, which could test their self-confidence and camaraderie. Along the way, the agents will uncover a few secrets that the agents are keeping.

Series showrunner Josh Safran teased about the upcoming "Quantico" episode in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly. In the third episode, "the snapshot widens much more than it did in episode 2, because the characters in the present find themselves with nowhere to turn just as Alex in the future finds herself with nowhere to turn," he said.

"Quantico" episode 3 will air on Sunday, Oct. 11, on ABC.
