"Quantico" fans can expect to see Russell Tovey on a regular basis when the television action-thriller series comes back for its second season. Showrunner Josh Safran said that the role was precisely created for him.

Tovey will continue to play Harry Doyle, a roguish partygoer, when the show comes back after its season break. Doyle is a person similar to the billionaire Thomas Crown, but who has a knack to pick pockets, like Artful Dodger, The Hollywood Reporter mentioned.

Safran said, "Ever since being introduced to him in 'The History Boys' 10 years ago, I've hoped to work with Russell. It's been an honor for the writers and myself to be able to create this role specifically for him."

The report also mentioned that the young actor was a cast member of HBO's "Looking," which will have its show finale on July 23 after two seasons. Tovey was also in "The Job Lot," "Banished," "Him & Her," "The Pass," "The Lady in the Van" and "Muppets Most Wanted."

Meanwhile, TV Line reported that Safran has a surprising twist for the fans which will be seen at the end of season 2's premier episode. The series creator mentioned that it is connected to Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) working inside the CIA.

"We're very interested in the fact that the FBI's so much about being honest, truthful and living up to your badge, and the CIA is the opposite. You succeed if you can deceive. So it's going to be interesting to see. It's like a funhouse mirror of what we've seen," Safran also said.

The ABC TV series follows a group of young FBI recruits, each with their own reason in joining, fighting their way through the training in the academy. Flashbacks of the characters provide a glimpse of their previous lives, which makes the story more interesting.

"Quantico" season 2 will be back in the fall, although no specific date has been announced.
