The fire of bravery that was ignited by the Harvey Weinstein controversy is alive and is still burning. As many more celebrities had been opening up and encouraging victims to come forward, "Quantico" star Priyanka Chopra had the latest say on being courageous at this trying time.

"It's not just about sexuality. It's not about sex. It's about power," said Chopra at the Marie Claire Power Trip. The "A Kid Like Jake" star also shared how the people of great power in the industry could easily take away a woman's work and underlined the role of power in the industry.

She went on to say that the Weinstein scandal was just the tip of the iceberg and added that the abuse of power was actually experienced in other places as well. The UNICEF Goodwill ambassador also shared a story of her housekeeper and her child, one which had served as an eye-opener to her of the harrowing state of women. The girl had to stop going to school as her mother believed that education was just a waste of money and that the kid would just later be married.

Chopra, who founded The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education, also said that the abuse was not just in Hollywood and explained that India, where she hails, was not an exemption from the abuse of power. "It's just the power of a man trying to take away a woman's power," the 35-year-old said.

The Purple Pebble Pictures owner remained optimistic about women's fate in the industry as more and more women were standing up against the abuses. Chopra, in a statement to Elle, lauded the #MeToo campaign on social media. She said that women's unity against abuses was a small step that can lead to greater results in the future and that these efforts meant that women are fed up of the abuses they had to quietly take.
