Video game developer THQ Nordic has announced that its platform-shooter video game "Rad Rodgers" will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One over a year after it was initially released on Steam for the PC. The game hits consoles sometime in February, and for those who already have it on Steam will be receiving an update of all the brand-new features included in the console release version.

The new features that are expected to come with the console version include new items such as accessories for Rad and Dusty, and for player customization, five never-before-seen levels, a new variety of enemy types including new mini-bosses, and more. Additionally, the upcoming version will have a leaderboard system, which allows players to keep track of their standing or even compare their scores with friends for some competitive spirit.

Also, players will be granted the option to complete special objectives so they can unlock artwork for the game. The new enemies include the Spiky Jellyfish and Powerful Laserheads that will force even the most seasoned of vets to adjust their play style accordingly. Most importantly, the new version will also feature a brand-new weapon called the Excalibat, which is a powerful melee weapon.

The trailer shows once again the adventures of protagonist Rad Rodgers, who is a boy who loves playing video games, and his trusty sidekick, Dusty, a foul-mouthed robot. Although the art style of the game is bright and colorful, boasting 256 colors for a platform gamer, the game is certainly not for children with its M rating. The game features devastating attacks for Rad's gun, with large laser beams shooting out of it, and a healthy variety of obstacles.

The updates and console version of "Rad Rodgers" will be released on Feb. 21, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
